Super Typhoon Haiyan, most likely the largest storm to ever hit land, has battered the Philippines. The scale of the disaster is huge, with over 9.5 million people in need of help and 600,000 forced from their homes.

Sunday's collection in aid of victims
Bishop Teemu Sippo SCJ also appeals for help to the victims of the storm. Sunday's collection in all the Catholic parishes in Finland will be in aid of the relief efforts in the Philippines.

Mass at St Henry's on Saturday
On Saturday, November 16, a Mass will be celebrated at St Henry's Cathedral in memory of storm victims in the Philippines. The Mass is in English and will begin at 4 p.m.
