Sister: "We are cleaning, do you still want to come? It is a bit noisy, you won’t be able to pray."
That’s when I realized that the church was being cleaned by sisters. But since I thought it was just that one time, I did not ask for more details until another Monday, when I went to the church around 5 p.m. again. The same conversation happened, and I was surprised to find that the church needs cleaning every week!
I invite you now to pray for them, those who help with the maintenance of the church. Many of them are also mothers, and they also work and take care of their family. Despite that they never count how much time and work they offer the church in their busy lives. They may be the person who sits next to you at Mass on Sunday, or the person you are having church coffee with another time. Please remember these beautiful people who support the church with their every effort. And of course, you can offer to help them and all of us: We can all be caring daughters and sons of our dear Mother the Church.
